Exercise: Point and Line = Space
The Point and Line= Space is to identify the points/dots inside the three pictures taken; The book binder ( The Binder), the drain (Drainage) and one of the roof at Taylor's Lakeside (The Uncertaity of Ascendancy). The objective of this exercise is to get to know spaces around us throughpoints/dots and lines.

Exercise: Plane and Void.
From this exercise, we were asked to create a design from a modeling card and to create a model that have space and void. The first three pictures of this document is part one of the exercise. The design of Part one was inspired by the scale of a fish as seen on the corner of the board and the tail of a fish which can be seen in the center of the board. Part two of the design on the other hand, was inspired by a gate from the movie, Thor (2011) and Iron man's chest :)

Exercise : Shade and Shadow
Exercise: Rhythm and Repetition
"Puzzled" : Puzzled was actually inspired by the maze that popped in my head when I was figuring out what to draw for this exercise. I wanted the pattern to be something different then when I was taking too much time thinking, I realized I was like in a maze looking for ideas. Little did I know, the maze was the idea. Thus, that is how I come up with the pattern and idea. For the colours that I have chosen, I kept it really basic, mostly primary colours. Why? because I figured the pattern is already complicated, I should use more simple colours to make it simple but effective sort of.
"Under the Wire" : The second part of this exercise was to take picture of a pattern and turn that pattern into something else by adding some modelling board to define the shape of it. My picture was taken in Starbucks at Taylor's Lakeside. This pattern is used as the wall decoration for the coffee shop. It has many more pattern in it but I cropped mine into these squared/diamonds shape. I chose it because it was simple.

Exercise: Harmony and Light
Harmony and light is related to the final project. It was the third and fourth step of the project. The first step was to choose a geometric shape and arrange it in different directions to create hierarchy. The shape that I chose is Parallelogram. Then, when it comes to the third step, a rhombus was created. Thus, the geometric shape for my model/pavilion is mainly a rhomboid. I wanted this pavilion to look like the boughs and branches of the trees. That is why there are few walls that is familiar to the branches of the trees.
Exercise: Mood / Conceptual board
Theme that i chose for this pavilion is "Modern Nature". That is when modern meets nature = relaxation. In my perspective, people these days want to follow up with the modern world but still need nature to feel refresh and to rejuvenate. With this pavilion, they can be with nature to leisure and to enjoy life which is also why I name this Pavilion "The Unwind Pavilion". What I want for this pavilion is to be functional for everyone. The design elements used are geometrical shape and form. Texture used on the actual model is mostly wood for the home-y feel, timber-crete to add contrast for the parallelogram tall sculpture, and glass for the elegant feel and to close the space from any outside beautiful creature whilst enjoying the view of nature.
